Before you start

Have your property and visit details, field observations, and summary ready. Add your logo, core measurements, and photos where relevant to the visit.

Where is my emailed report?

Check the email address you entered, then check your spam or junk folder. A queued message confirms the request was saved and is being prepared for email; it does not yet confirm delivery. Keep the reference number if you need support. A delivery-unavailable message means no successful email delivery was confirmed; your local draft remains available.

Can I use my own logo?

Yes. In the Property step, add a PNG, JPEG, or WebP logo. Only your uploaded logo appears on the report. Without a logo, your report has a clean text heading. Add your company name and contact details, then review the report preview before sending.

What can I put in the report?

Choose a Site Visit, Roof Evaluation, or Core Cut Report. Record the property, visit details, condition ratings, core layers, observations, photographs, and recommendations. Unrecorded items remain identified as unrecorded. The tool formats your field records; it does not inspect the roof or generate engineering conclusions.

Where are my saved drafts?

Drafts are stored in the browser where you created them. Use the same browser and website to return to them. Private browsing, clearing site data, a different device, or opening the tool outside its original embedded page may show a different workspace.

Use Export workspace backup to keep a separate copy of reports, templates, your profile, contacts, properties, measurements and estimates. Use Import backup to restore new copies in another browser. Archiving hides a report; the workspace archive controls restore it. Keep backups somewhere you control.

How does Cloud save work?

Open Cloud save, enter your email address, and use the short-lived code sent to your inbox. Saving uploads one manual workspace snapshot for your account on this website. Restoring adds new copies; it does not merge edits or synchronize devices automatically. Your company profile changes only when you select that option. Before restore, the app saves a local recovery backup that you can download from Recovery tools.

Use the same website and email on each device. Accounts and cloud copies on roofreportstudio.com and the earlier roofcore-report.pages.dev workspace are separate. If you see a size limit, export a local backup and reduce photo sizes before trying again.

What does the writing assistant do?

When available to a signed-in account, it offers a grammar edit of the summary text you choose to send. Review the preview and select Apply only if it preserves your meaning. It does not inspect photographs, diagnose a roof or add technical recommendations. Daily limits apply. The manual editor always remains available.

Can I dictate notes?

Quick notes can use speech recognition in browsers that support it. You choose when to start and stop, review the transcript, then add it to your notes. Your browser may send audio to its speech provider; this app does not store audio. If the control is unavailable, type or paste your notes instead.

How do aerial measurements work?

Open Measurements, then New aerial outline. Sign in and choose whether to share the property address with the Census geocoder and coordinates with the selected New York State or USGS imagery service. Locate the intended roof visually before tracing. The source date and resolution are shown; images can be old, obscured or displaced around tall buildings. Areas and perimeters are approximate planning dimensions that require field verification. The manual rectangle, polygon and uploaded-plan tools remain available.

Where do inspection requests go?

In Inspection requests, a signed-in company can publish a request page and view its private inbox. A submitted request is saved to that inbox; it does not automatically send an email or book an appointment. A signed-in requester can choose to track it under Requests I sent. Company notes are private to the receiving account. Disabling the public page stops new requests while preserving existing requests until their retention period ends.

The embedded tool will not open

Some browsers block storage inside embedded websites. Open the report workspace in a new tab and create the report there. The website owner may also need to allow their exact domain in the embed configuration.

Can I correct or remove my information?

Edit a local draft in your workspace. To correct a submitted report or request removal of data held by BRT NYC, email us with the delivery address and reference. Clearing browser data removes your local drafts but does not withdraw an already sent email. See the web privacy notice for storage periods.

Using the older phone app?

This support page describes the new web tool. The original phone app has a different workflow. You can view the archived mobile-app privacy notice and contact BRT NYC for help identifying your app version.
